Overview
Nel's Misfortune is a text-based visual novel for players who want dark sci-fi captivity stories with a female protagonist. The tone is tense and consequence-driven, built around choices rather than action.
Story
Captured by a pirate gang, you're forced into hunting down a high-value target on their behalf. Success and failure both carry a price: cooperation may not spare you, and failure could just as easily see you sold into someone else's captivity instead of theirs.
Gameplay
Progress runs through branching text choices as you carry out the pirates' orders while managing your own standing with them. Decisions shift a corruption-style track that opens different outcomes, including alternate bad ends, so the same starting point can lead to very different fates depending on how compliant or resistant you play.

- Added AI narration to the father's advice.
- Reworked the bondage story called Aarla's Descent. Many of the plot points (especially the ending) was fixed and HD renders were added (54 in total).
