Overview
Golden Hours is a story-driven adult visual novel for players who like small-town drama with a mystery underneath. The mood stays warm and character-focused, even as things get complicated.
Story
After inheriting his uncle Buck's run-down motel, the protagonist has one year to restore it before a corporation demolishes it for good. Settling into Pinewood Hollow means more than fixing up rooms, though — the town holds a mystery that runs deeper than anyone lets on, and uncovering it means getting close to the people who already know more than they say.
Gameplay
Play centers on rebuilding the motel while moving freely through Pinewood Hollow at your own pace, choosing who to visit and how far to pursue each connection. Along the way you'll take on side activities like the local barista minigame, piece together clues tied to the town's mystery, and get to know an ever-growing cast of townsfolk, each with their own storyline and animated scenes. A cat lives at the motel too. He's not a fan of you yet, but that might change.
